Museo Alto Garda

MAG Museo Alto Garda (Museum of Upper Garda) includes the Museum of Riva del Garda and the G.Segantini Civic Gallery of Arco.
The museum is situated in Riva del Garda, inside the "Rocca" an old Medieval castle overlooking the lake; it is made up of three permanent sections, some areas dedicated to temporary expositions and a laboratory designed for children and their families.
The permanent sections are dedicated to archeology and history while the gallery shows some nineteenth century landscapes and the paintings of various artists such as, Pietro Ricchi, Vincenzo Vela and Francesco Hayez.

Mart, the museum of modern and contemporary art of Rovereto and Trento, is one of the most important European museums. It was not conceived as a traditional museum but as a cultural centre. Mart has three different locations:

  • The main location is in Corso Bettini, in Rovereto: an architectural structure inaugurated in 2002 following the designs of Mario Botta and Giulio Andreolli
  • The Depero House of Futurist Art in Roveto
  • The Civic Gallery in Trento

Mart offers to its visitors not only expositions, events and laboratories but it also hosts artists, scholars, companies and houses many local and international events.

​The Museum of Science of Trento aims at "interpreting nature starting from the mountain landscape, through the eyes, the tools and the questions of the Scientific research, taking up the challenges of contemporary society and encouraging curiosity and pleasure of knowledge in order to give value to science, innovation and sustainability."
"The expositive itinerary of Muse tells the story of life in the Earth through the metaphor of the Mountain. Starting from the top:the terrace and the fourth floor present first the sun and the ice and then examine in depth the theme of biodiversity, sustainability and evolution. In the basement you can admire the wonderful tropical greenhouse.
The building, designed by Renzo Piano, simulates the mountain faces. The architectural techniques used, follow the environmental sustainability and energy saving, making use of renewable sources.

Vittoriale degli Italiani is situated in Gardone Riviera, on the western side of Lake Garda belonging to the province of Brescia.
The Vittoriale was built between 1921 and 1938 by Gabriele d'Annunzio with the architect Giancarlo Maroni; it is made up of buildings, streets, squares, gardens, and an anphitheatre; it also include D'Annunzio's house.
This structure gives value to the rich and precious historical patrimony related to the military experience of Gabriele d'Annunzio.
Vittoriale is also a foundation open to the public and visited by 180000 people every year.

Arena di Verona

"The Arena of Verona is situated in the historical centre of the town: it's a Roman anphitheatre and, together with Romeo and Juliet, is an icon of the town. This building has characterized the Roman recreational architecture and it is the most well-preserved ancient anphitheatre thanks to the regular restoration works started in the seventeenth century. During the summer, the Arena is the venue of the famous Opera Festival and of many concerts of singers and bands."
