The Parish Church of Saint Stephen dates back to the VIII Century.
According to tradition, the Antica Pieve of S. Stefano was built to replace an earlier place of worship dedicated to Madre degli dei ed Iside (Mother of the Gods and Iside). The building was transformed into a Christian place of worship, and in the IX Century, by order of Rotaldo, Bishop of Verona, the remains of holy hermits Benigno and Caro were placed with full honours inside the Church, which features a single nave and a vaulted ceiling with a XVIII-Century medallion representing the glory of St. Stephen; there are three altars on each side, one for each chapel and a larger central altar.
