Sunday, 25 October 2026 – Piazza Statuto, Malcesine

A day celebrating mountain traditions, rural culture and local flavours: on Sunday, 25 October, Malcesine welcomes back the Mountain Festival, an event celebrating the area's agricultural heritage and local traditions.

In the heart of the town, Piazza Statuto will come alive with a traditional livestock show, food stalls and stands showcasing local products and agricultural equipment. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover the world of livestock farming up close, explore the area's local produce and rediscover the authentic flavours of traditional cuisine.

The day will begin at 7:30 am with the arrival of the livestock. From 10:00 am, livestock judging and activities dedicated to the market of local products and agricultural equipment will get underway. At 10:30 am, the educational farm will offer visitors of all ages the chance to get closer to farm animals and learn more about rural life.

At noon, local authorities will give their welcoming addresses, followed by the awards ceremony. At 12:30 pm, the culinary event “Mangiando con gusto” will invite visitors to savour traditional specialities. The bar and takeaway service for the traditional Carbonera will already be available from 11:30 am.

Carbonera is a traditional local dish made with polenta, cheeses from the Monte Baldo area and olive oil produced in Malcesine. A true taste of the region, it reflects the area's culinary heritage and its authentic local ingredients.

The Mountain Festival is a chance to experience Malcesine at its most authentic and welcoming, bringing together local traditions, regional produce and convivial moments while celebrating the rural heritage that remains an important part of the area's culture.
