Malcesine is an inclusive and welcoming destination in many ways, especially towards our four-legged guests.
Many of our accommodation facilities welcome your dogs with dedicated services. We have installed dispensers for poop bags throughout the municipality, we have a dedicated area for poop near the Giardini Padre Mario Casella in the center and we have reserved a Dog Beach for your dogs in Retelino.
At the same time, we ask for respect for our territory and our environment with some simple rules to allow us to have an increasingly cleaner and more welcoming town for guests and for our animal friends.
- Dogs cannot have access to our beaches in the presence of other bathers. You can freely use our Dog Beach Beach in Retelino with convenient parking nearby.
- Owners or keepers who walk dogs are required to use both a leash and a muzzle, especially in closed spaces and on means of transport, taking care that the dogs do not dirty or create any disturbance or damage.
- Dogs accompanied by their owner or another keeper are allowed access to all public areas and areas for public use; Dogs are prohibited from accessing areas intended and equipped for particular purposes, such as children's play areas and some gardens or green areas when they are clearly delimited for this purpose and marked with special prohibition signs.
- The owner or keeper must have suitable tools for removing dog faeces and cleaning dog urine and is required to collect solid dog faeces in all public spaces, as well as being equipped with water to dilute and clean urine on walls and floors, especially in the historic center. If you forget the bags or have run out, you will find numerous distributors in the area as well as public fountains to always have water to clean.
